Auctions are an effective way to liquidate collectible and higher value items in a reasonable timeframe. Currently we offer consignment auctions every other month, as well as, full estate auctions as requested. Our consignors are located across the Southeastern US.
We offer a wide variety of auction services tailored to our clients individual needs. Our multi-platform auctions bring the world to your doorstep! There are tens of thousands of potential buyers looking at your items, instead of the few hundred that might be at a local auction.
Sometimes our clients have an entire home, a collection or a group of exceptional items that we know would do well with a large audience bidding on them. As auctioneers, we are pleased to be able to accommodate this type of sale, achieving the highest possible prices for our clients while maintaining high levels of integrity and customer service.

Several items in our recent sales have set auction records, a fact attributed to the impeccable research of our in house appraisal team, the professional photography, advertising, and marketing that we offer our clients. Meet our Auctioneer
Mark J. Bastian

Mark is a Charleston native, with family ties going back several generations. His early childhood downtown Charleston inspired much of his passion of antiques, fine art, jewelry and furniture. Mark began E. S. Griffith while still at the College of Charleston, after graduation he continued to build E. S. Griffith into a full service Appraisal Firm. A few years later Mark co-founded Charleston Estate Auctions and received his Auctioneer license in 2014. We are so pleased to have an auctioneer with roots in the local community, a devotion for his work, and commitment to each client's needs.
Each auction is unique to us and is treated as such. A full color online catalogue is published online 10 days prior to each auction, allowing for registration and left bidding by our customers. A newsletter is sent out for each sale that reaches up to 2.5 million certified bidders. We also send announcements to our registered customers regionally, they include well known museums, collectors, dealers and galleries in the southeastern states. The sale culminates in a live online auction event on a set time and date.
Charleston Estate Auctions invites consignments from individuals, collectors, institutions and estates around the world. Our team of specialists regularly meet with collectors, curators, heirs and executors to evaluate property for auction. We are always available to discuss the sale of a single item or an entire collection.
